Throughout her journey, Romy has had the privilege of working closely with individuals at every stage of dementia, commencing from the critical diagnostic phase to providing compassionate support to those in end-of-life care homes.
Her professional journey began with valuable experience in memory clinics, where she played an instrumental role in the diagnostic process for individuals living with dementia. As her expertise expanded, Romy went on to provide invaluable assistance and guidance to family caregivers, ensuring they could navigate the challenges that arise when caring for a relative with dementia.
In more recent years, Romy has made significant contributions as the dementia lead for a prominent organisation, overseeing the care and support of individuals in 10 care homes, 7 day centres and home care services.
